Phillip was admitted to practice in Virginia in 1988 and North Carolina in 1989, and is a member of both states bars. With an emphasis on civil litigation and creditors rights, Phillip represents a wide variety of clients in a variety of matters from Roanoke to Raleigh and beyond. Phillip received his B.S. degree magna cum laude from James Madison University in 1984 and his law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1988. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the North Carolina State Bar, the Roanoke Bar Association, and is an alumnus of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Roanoke Valley Program. Before joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Glen E. Conrad and to U.S. District Court Judge James C. Turk.
