Mark should know, he has practiced litigation and construction law
for almost 30 years. Mark has represented homeowners and builders, policyholders and insurance companies, banks and borrowers, business owners and investors. He has lectured on topics ranging from construction contracts to creditors’ rights to
liability insurance. He has advised both owners and contractors in contract negotiations and dispute resolution, and is a member of the Construction Law and Public Contracts Section of the Virginia State Bar. In addition to litigation and construction law, Mark also has experience in a broad range of business, insurance, financial, and commercial transactions and approaches each case with the same patience and skill of a craftsman. Mark received a B.A. from Hampden-Sydney in 1970 and earned his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1973. He is admitted to practice in the Virginia Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern & Western Districts of Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. In addition to the Virginia State Bar, he is a member of the American Bar Association, the Roanoke Bar Association, the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, and the International Association of Defense Counsel. Mark has served our community as a member of the Roanoke Civic Center Commission and director of numerous civic organizations, including the Roanoke Valley Council of Community Services, Roanoke Valley Historical Society, Catholic Family & Children's Services, and Roanoke Valley Youth Soccer Club.
