January 25, 2012 - James and Sandra Ramaker already grow grapes on farmland near Smith Mountain Lake. They hope to use the Bedford County property to distribute wine as well.

Five acres of grapes and the building that will house the proposed winery are already in place. Adding three parking places would be the only change.

But to make and sell wine on site, the couple needs the land rezoned and a special use permit from county officials.

October 17, 2011 –   Best Lawyers, one of the oldest and most respected peer-review publications in the legal profession has named Paul G. Beers as the “Roanoke Best Lawyers Litigation-Labor & Employment Lawyer of the Year” for 2012.  Beers, a member of Glenn Feldmann Darby & Goodlatte since 1991, has argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Virginia Court of Appeals, and the Tennessee Supreme Court.
