Amanda’s practice is principally focused on civil litigation, with emphasis on local taxation matters and eminent domain. She also represents both businesses and individuals in employment matters and disputes. Amanda has argued cases at every level of state court in Virginia. She is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Through her litigation experience, Amanda has developed expertise in assessing her opponents and the strengths and weaknesses of their cases. This experience, combined with her keen insight, makes Amanda an effective legal advocate and counselor.
Amanda also represents a number of business interests, local governments, and their affiliates. She has guided corporate clients through mergers and dissolutions and has assisted non-profits in obtaining tax-exempt status. She further advises clients on a variety of corporate governance issues.
